Description
We are searching for a full-time AV Installation Technician to join our team. Fieldwork includes installation of home automation, audio, video, security, and structured wiring systems, assisting with support calls, and performing site evaluations as needed. In addition, some administrative tasks are expected, including closing work orders and entering timesheet data.
Successful Traits
The ideal candidate will have a technical background, have experience reading plans, interpreting wiring schematics and knowledge of control systems. The position will involve installing data, voice, intrusion, security cameras, distributed audio and video, network, terminating equipment and installing components such as wall plates, speakers, cameras, and screens.
You will be working in residential and commercial environments in and around Northwest Indiana, Chicago and New Buffalo, MI
Qualifications
- Previous experience in IT or residential, commercial construction trades.
- Understanding of installation techniques, terminations, Cat5/6 and coax cable.
- A basic foundation of electrical skills (outlets, switches, junction points, dedicated circuits, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, instructions, and other technical documentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot when faced with difficult construction and or installation obstacles to achieve installation of products with concealed equipment and related wiring.
- Detail-oriented and attention to on-site cleanliness.
- Computer skills are a must as well as strong customer relations skills.
Requirements
- Ability to work from ladders, use hand & power tools, pull cable in confined spaces such as attic, crawl spaces, drop ceilings, etc.
- Ability to use power tools to mount TVs, projectors, speakers and drill penetrations for data, communications, audio & video wiring through floors, walls, etc.
- Own and maintain a personal set of standard electrical/electronics maintenance hand tools and a cordless drill.
- Excellent problem solving and analytic skills.
- Maintain required project documentation and time tracking.
- Pass a drug screen test.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation to & from office.
- Available for overtime when required.
- Must be familiar with electrical & building codes, work safely following all OSHA safety policies including basic ladder usage.
- Lift equipment up to 50 lbs. safely.

This opportunity is for an experienced Sales Executive to sell our entire portfolio of Audio Visual & Information Technology solutions. Our current target area includes Northwest Indiana, Chicago, and Southwest Michigan. Applicant must be an ambitious hunter & go-getter. This person will prospect, attain, grow, and maintain client accounts. The ideal candidate will already have an established client list that can utilize this opportunity with a new set of technology solutions that are needed and in demand.

Job Duties
- Proactively seek out and identify potential opportunities to provide AV solutions for business clients looking to simplify their meeting and conference room presentation equipment to be reliable and easy to use.
- Develop price quotations and bid responses that are complete, accurate, and profitable.
- Work with the installation team to ensure a smooth transition from sale to installation
- Create written proposals and quotations for our clients
- Clearly communicate audio visual solutions that best fit our clients’ needs
- Interact with different departments (Procurement, Service, Project Management, etc.)
- Interact with our clients’ varying project partners to assist with the sale and implementation of audiovisual systems
- Communicate clearly with clients and staff regarding project scopes and deliverables
Job Time: Part-Time, Full-Time, Independent, Commission
Salay: Expense Reimbursement Base + Uncapped Commissions
Experience:
- audio visual project management: 1 year (Preferred)
- customer service: 1 year (Required)
- audio visual: 1 year (Preferred)
- Outside Sales: 1 year (Required)
